Return Travel
Not valid on trains timed to depart:
London Paddington after 04:29 and before 09:12 and after 16:40 and before 18:32
Reading after 04:29 and before 09:39 and after 17:03 and before 18:56
Didcot after Midnight and before 09:53
London Waterloo after 04:29 and before 08:15
Not valid on trains timed to arrive Salisbury before 09:30.
Notes
Off-Peak tickets from stations not listed are valid for connections into trains departing as shown above.
Restriction code WO applies to all journeys via Newbury or Didcot Parkway, not passing through Reading.
Restriction code Q8 applies to all journeys via Fareham / Southampton / Salisbury.
Restriction codes 7E / 9J apply to all journeys via London St Pancras International.

Easement
Severn Tunnel Closure Wednesday 3 to Thursday 18 July 2024
The following easements will apply during this line closure, for customers travelling to/from Wales, for journeys to / from / via Didcot, Reading, London and Southeast:
Travel towards London
The 06:28 GWR service from Swansea to Paddington becomes Off-Peak
Travel from London
The 18:12 GWR service from Paddington to Swansea becomes valid with Off-Peak and Super Off-Peak tickets
Seasonal Variations
GWR Christmas and New Year Travel Restrictions 2023/24 Up to and including Thu 22 December : Normal ticket restrictions apply. Fri 22 December: Off-Peak tickets valid all day. Super Off-Peak tickets subject to normal restriction times.
Sat 23 December to Mon 01 January * No ticket restrictions apply. Tue 02 January 2024 onwards Normal ticket restrictions apply. Journey planners have been updated with the above information. *Please note this only applies to journeys priced by GWR. Flows within Wales, between Cheltenham and Gloucester and long-distance routes to areas not served by GWR are priced by other Train companies, who may have different Christmas travel restrictions in place.
