Description

Engineering work is taking place between Oxenholme Lake District and Carlisle, closing all lines.

Avanti West Coast:

Trains from London / Birmingham / Crewe will be amended to terminate at Preston / Lancaster / Oxenholme Lake District. Trains will run to an amended timetable between Carlisle and Glasgow Central / Edinburgh.

Replacement buses will run between:

  • Preston and Carlisle.

  • Carlisle and Glasgow Central (direct).

  • Carlisle and Glasgow Central (calling at Lockerbie and Motherwell).

TransPennine Express:

Saturday:

Trains will run between Manchester Airport and Carlisle only. For Glasgow Central, you should use Avanti West Coast services.

Sunday:

Trains will run between Manchester Airport / Preston and Oxenholme for Lake District, and between Carlisle and Edinburgh.

Replacement buses will run between Oxenholme for Lake District and Carlisle.
