Description

Engineering work is taking place in the Motherwell area, closing most lines.

Avanti West Coast:

Saturday & Sunday:

Services to / from Edinburgh are diverted to run to / from Glasgow Central.

A replacement bus service is planned to operate between Carlisle and Edinburgh, but is not yet confirmed, please check back here closer to the time of travel.

CrossCountry:

Saturday and Sunday:

Trains will not call at Motherwell.

Rail replacement buses will run between Edinburgh and Motherwell.

LNER:

On Saturday, the 06:48 from Glasgow Central to London Kings Cross will start from Edinburgh at 08:00.

On Sunday, the 16:30 from London Kings Cross to Glasgow Central will terminate at Edinburgh.

Replacement buses will run between Edinburgh and Motherwell, connecting with train services. For Glasgow Central, you should use other services between Edinburgh and Glasgow Central.

TransPennine Express:

An hourly rail replacement bus service will operate between Carlisle and Edinburgh.
