Description

Engineering work is taking place between Oxenholme for Lake District and Motherwell, closing various lines.

Avanti West Coast:

An amended train timetable will operate, with most trains running between London Euston / Birmingham New Street and Preston / Lancaster. A few trains will run to / from Oxenholme for Lake District.

Replacement buses will operate between:

  • Preston and Carlisle

  • Carlisle and Glasgow Central

CrossCountry:

Trains will be diverted between Edinburgh and Glasgow Central, and will not call at Motherwell.

Replacement buses will run between Edinburgh and Motherwell.

TransPennine Express:

Sunday:

Trains will operate between Manchester and Oxenholme only.

Rail replacement buses will run between:

  • Oxenholme and Carlisle

  • Carlisle and Edinburgh

Monday:

The 04:22 Glasgow Central to Manchester Airport will start from Carlisle at 06:22.
