Some tickets may require you to travel at specific times of the day, days of the week or on a specific route. Our Journey Planner takes ticket restrictions into account with the selection that you have made and will only have shown tickets that are valid for the selected trains.

Outward Travel

Travelling via Hereford and Oxford, not valid on trains to depart Hereford before 06:56.

Travelling via Newport (South Wales), not valid on trains timed to depart Newport (South Wales) before 02:00 or after 05:45 and before 08:46.

Not valid on trains timed to arrive at London Waterloo before 09:52.

Return Travel

Travelling via Evesham

Not valid on trains timed to depart:

  • London Paddington before 09:12 and after 16:40 until 18:32.

  • Reading before 09:38 and after 17:03 until 18:56.

  • Didcot before 09:53

Travelling via Newport (South Wales)

Not valid on trains timed to depart:

  • London Paddington before 09:12 and after 16:40 until 18:32.

  • Reading before 09:38 and after 17:03 until 18:56.

  • Didcot before 09:53

  • London Waterloo before 08:15.

  • Clapham Junction before 08:20.

Notes

Additional restrictions apply for the following journeys:

  • Validity code WO applies to all journeys via Newbury or Didcot Parkway, not passing through Reading.

  • Validity Code Q8 applies to all journeys via Fareham / Southampton / Salisbury.

  • Validity Codes 7E / 9J apply to all journeys via London St Pancras International.
