This is different from the existing May or December timetable. The Published Timetable of the Day will be available no later than 22:00 on the day before the changes happen. All changes will be reflected in the Journey Planner and on the Live Trains page, the places where you will always find the most up-to-date timetable information.

Upcoming Timetable Changes

Please check below for changes that will be made by train companies to the timetable from 2 June 2024.

Avanti West Coast

The main change to the Avanti West Coast service from June is the removal of two direct services between Shrewsbury and London. These will start and terminate at Birmingham New Street or Wolverhampton instead, and onward connections are readily available with other operators.

More trains have been added to Avanti West Coast's West Midlands route Monday to Saturday and a few alterations have been made to calling patterns on existing routes, providing more journey opportunities and better connections.

There are no other major changes to the timetable, which is available to download from the Avanti West Coast website.

c2c

c2c have announced a number of timetable changes to be introduced on Sunday 2 June, including an increase in off-peak services between Shoeburyness and London Fenchurch Street.

The amended timetable, which includes two new morning peak (Monday to Friday) services from Shoeburyness/Leigh-on-Sea to London Fenchurch Street, will see two additional off-peak services (Monday to Friday) running every hour in both directions from London Fenchurch Street to Shoeburyness.

The introduction of these additional off-peak services means that many stations on the c2c route will provide customers with a regular, four trains per hour, 15-minute service.

Here are the timetable changes in full:

Mondays to Fridays

Additional services:

  • 07:08 Leigh-on-Sea to London Fenchurch Street service will call at all stations to Basildon, then West Ham, Limehouse and London Fenchurch Street

  • 07:45 Shoeburyness to London Fenchurch Street will call at all stations to Chalkwell, then Basildon, West Horndon, Upminster, West Ham, Limehouse and London Fenchurch Street

Changes to current services:

Mondays to Fridays (off-peak)

Additional services:

The following additional and amended services will call at all stations via Basildon, excluding West Horndon and Pitsea.

  • London Fenchurch Street to Shoeburyness: 09:19 and then every 30 minutes to 14:49, then 20:19 and every 30 minutes to 22:19

Chiltern Railways

The Chiltern Railways timetable starting on Sunday 2 June has few changes, when compared to the previous timetable.

A small number of services have had their times changed by a few minutes with the aim of improving overall punctuality. Please check journey planners to see if your train is affected.

The main changes relate to the addition of an additional morning and evening train service on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings only

  • An extra train will run from Princes Risborough (07:21), High Wycombe (07:33) and Beaconsfield (07:41) and arriving into London Marylebone at 08:07. To enable this to happen, the 06:37 departure from Oxford will now run directly from Haddenham & Thame Parkway to London Marylebone, calling briefly at High Wycombe only to set-down passengers, to enable onward connections.

  • The benefit of these changes is that on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings, an additional 380 seats will be provided to London at the busiest time of day.

Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursday evenings only

  • On the busiest weekday evenings, an extra train will run from London Marylebone (17:37) non-stop to High Wycombe (18:05) and terminating at Princes Risborough (18:18). This train is expected to be popular with High Wycombe and Princes Risborough customers and will provide an additional 380 seats at the busiest time of the evening.

  • To enable the additional train to run, the train that leaves London Marylebone at 17:37 for Birmingham (first stop Haddenham & Thame Parkway) will leave at 17:33 on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays.

  • The train that leaves London at 17:45 for Oxford will call at Beaconsfield and will not call at High Wycombe on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. This means that on mid-week days some Beaconsfield and High Wycombe customers will benefit from more seats and the ability to get home slightly earlier.

Other weekday changes:

  • 07:22 High Wycombe - London Marylebone is retimed to leave at 07:21 and calls additionally at South Ruislip.

  • 07:53 Gerrards Cross - London Marylebone is retimed to leave at 07:54 and no longer calls at South Ruislip.

  • 08:20 Oxford - London Marylebone calls additionally at Saunderton.

  • 17:19 London Marylebone - High Wycombe calls additionally at Northolt Park.

  • 17:23 London Marylebone - West Ruislip no longer calls at Northolt Park.

  • 19:08 at Princes Risborough a train to Birmingham Snow Hill will call to pick up passengers only, improving connectivity for customers traveling North.

  • 22:14 Leamington Spa-Stratford-upon-Avon retimed to leave at 22:26 to connect with later services.

Saturday changes

  • 07:03 Amersham - Aylesbury extended to Aylesbury Vale Parkway.

  • 20:39 Leamington Spa - Stratford-upon-Avon retimed to leave at 21:24 to connect with later services.
