Description
Engineering work is taking place between Smethwick Rolfe Street and Birmingham New Street, closing some lines.
As a result of this, the following alterations will apply:
Avanti West Coast
Train services between London Euston and Wolverhampton will be diverted to run via Aston instead of via Dudley Port.
Train services between London Euston and Edinburgh will not call at Birmingham New Street, and will also be diverted to run via Aston instead of via Dudley Port.
A reduced service will operate between Birmingham New Street and Wolverhampton.
CrossCountry:
Trains will not call at Wolverhampton. You can use alternative services to / from Wolverhampton.
Transport for Wales:
Services will start / terminate at Wolverhampton.
You should change at Wolverhampton for alternative rail services to Birmingham New Street / Birmingham International.
London Northwestern Railway:
Trains between Liverpool Lime Street and Birmingham New Street will be diverted between Wolverhampton and Birmingham New Street and will arrive later at / depart earlier from Birmingham New Street. On Sunday only, trains from Birmingham New Street to Liverpool Lime Street will not call at Smethwick Galton Bridge.
Trains between Crewe and Birmingham New Street via Stoke-on-Trent will run between Crewe and Stafford only. You should travel on other services between Stafford and Wolverhampton / Birmingham New Street.
Rail replacement buses will run between Wolverhampton and Birmingham New Street.
West Midlands Railway:
Trains between Shrewsbury and Birmingham New Street will run between Shrewsbury and Wolverhampton only.
Trains between Wolverhampton and Walsall will run between Birmingham New Street and Walsall only. These will also run to a reduced frequency.
Local stopping services between Wolverhampton and Birmingham New Street will not run.
Rail replacement buses will run between Wolverhampton and Birmingham New Street.
