Between Headbolt Lane and Blackburn

Description

Engineering work is taking place between Daisy Hill and Wigan Wallgate, and between Bolton and Hindley, closing some lines.

The following amendments will be in operation:

Trains between Leeds and Wigan Wallgate: Trains will run between Leeds and Manchester Victoria.

Trains between Blackburn and Headbolt Lane via Todmorden / Manchester Victoria: Trains will run between Blackburn and Salford Crescent, and between Wigan Wallgate and Headbolt Lane.

Trains from Southport to Stalybridge via Manchester Victoria: Trains will run from Salford Crescent to Stalybridge via Manchester Victoria only.

Trains from Stalybridge to Southport via Manchester Victoria: Trains will run from Stalybridge to Bolton via Manchester Victoria only.

Trains between Manchester Oxford Road and Southport: Trains will run via an alternative route and will not call at Salford Crescent, Bolton, Westhoughton and Hindley.

A shuttle train service will run between Wigan Wallgate and Headbolt Lane.

Buses will be provided between:

  • Wigan Wallgate and Salford Crescent via Atherton

  • Wigan Wallgate and Bolton
