Description
Engineering work is taking place between Bolton and Ince, and between Bolton and Blackrod, closing all lines.
The following amendments will be in operation:
Northern:
Trains between:
Manchester Airport – Barrow-in-Furness / Windermere: Trains will start / terminate at Preston.
Manchester Airport – Blackpool North: Trains will be diverted to run via Wigan North Western, and will not call at stations via Bolton and Chorley.
Stalybridge – Wigan Wallgate via Bolton: Trains will run between Manchester Victoria and Bolton.
Buses will replace trains between:
Bolton and Wigan Wallgate
Bolton and Preston
TransPennine Express:
Services between Manchester Airport and Preston will be diverted via Eccles and will not call at Bolton. If you are travelling to / from Bolton, you should use rail replacement buses provided by Northern.
Some services may start later / terminate earlier in the journey.
