Description

Engineering work is taking place between Daisy Hill and Wigan, and between Bolton and Hindley, closing all lines.

Saturday

Trains from Southport to Manchester Oxford Road will be diverted via an alternative route and will not call at Hindley, Westhoughton, Bolton and Salford Cresent.

Trains from Southport to Stalybridge will start from Salford Crescent.

Trains from Stalybridge to Southport will terminate at Bolton.

Trains from Salford Crescent to Blackburn will start from Bolton and call additionally at Moses Gate, Farnworth and Kearsley.

Trains between Blackburn and Headbolt Lane will run between Blackburn and Salford Crescent, and between Wigan Wallgate and Headbolt Lane, in both directions.

Trains from Leeds to Wigan Wallgate will run between Leeds and Manchester Victoria. These services are further affected by engineering work taking place between Halifax and Mirfield. More information can be found here.

Buses will operate between Wigan Wallgate and Bolton, and between Wigan Wallgate and Salford Crescent via Atherton.

Sunday

Trains from Blackburn to Southport will be diverted via an alternative route and will not call at stations via Salford Crescent and Atherton.

Trains between Stalybridge and Wigan Wallgate in both directions will terminate at / start from Manchester Victoria.

Buses will operate between Manchester Victoria and Wigan Wallgate via Atherton, and between Wigan Wallgate and Bolton.
