Description

Engineering work is taking place between Rugeley Trent Valley and Congleton / Macclesfield, closing all lines.

Avanti West Coast:

All weekend, engineering work will block train services that run via Stoke-on-Trent.

An amended service will run, resulting in two trains per hour between London Euston and Manchester Piccadilly.

• One train per hour calling at Stafford, Crewe, Wilmslow and Stockport

• One train per hour calling at Milton Keynes Central, Rugby, Stafford and Stockport.

Trains between London Euston and Liverpool Lime Street will additionally call at Nuneaton.

In addition, rail replacement buses will run between:

• Stafford and Stoke-on-Trent

• Wilmslow and Macclesfield.

CrossCountry:

Trains will not call at Stoke-on-Trent and Macclesfield. Journey times to / from Manchester Piccadilly will be unaffected.

Rail replacement buses will operate between:

• Stafford and Macclesfield, calling at Stoke-on-Trent

• Stoke-on-Trent and Wilmslow, calling at Macclesfield

London Northwestern Railway:

Train services between Stafford and Crewe via Stoke-on-Trent will not run.

Rail replacement buses will operate between Crewe and Stafford, calling at Alsager, Kidsgrove, Longport, Stoke-on-Trent and Stone.

Northern:

Saturday:

Trains will not run between Manchester Piccadilly – Macclesfield / Stoke-on-Trent

Trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Alderley Edge will be diverted to start / terminate at Macclesfield.

Trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Crewe via Manchester Airport will start / terminate at Wilmslow.

Rail replacement buses will be run between Macclesfield and Stoke-on-Trent

Trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Crewe via Stockport will run as normal.

Sunday:

Trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Stoke-on-Trent will not run.

Rail replacement buses will operate between Manchester Piccadilly and Stoke-on-Trent.
