Description

Engineering work is taking place between York and Darlington, closing some lines after around 18:30. ​​​​​​​

CrossCountry:

After 18:40, no CrossCountry trains will run between York and Newcastle. You should travel on alternative rail services.

LNER:

After 18:40, no service will operate between York and Darlington.

TransPennine Express:

After 18:40, there will be no direct trains between York and Newcastle or Saltburn.

Buses will replace all trains between York and Saltburn from 15:00 onwards calling at Thirsk, Northallerton, Yarm, Thornaby, Middlesbrough and Redcar Central.

TransPennine Express train services will operate between Northallerton and Newcastle.

If you are travelling to Newcastle, you will need to use replacement bus services between York and Northallerton where you can change for onward connections.
