Description

Engineering work is taking place between Edinburgh and Perth via Stirling, closing all lines.

LNER:

Trains to / from Inverness will be diverted to run on an alternative route, and will not call at Falkirk Grahamston, Stirling or Gleneagles.

Saturday

The 07:55 Inverness to London Kings Cross service will be diverted between Perth and Edinburgh. A rail replacement coach services will be provided between Edinburgh, Falkirk Grahamston, Stirling, Gleneagles and Perth.

There will be no direct Northbound service from London Kings Cross to Inverness on this date. Rail replacement coach services will depart Edinburgh for stations between Perth and Inverness.

Sunday

The 09:40 Inverness to London Kings Cross service will start at Stirling. Rail replacement coach services will be provided for stations further North.

There will be no direct Northbound service from London Kings Cross to Inverness on this date. An additional service will depart Edinburgh for Inverness at 17.14 and run via a diversionary route between Edinburgh and Perth. Rail replacement coach services will be provided between Edinburgh, Falkirk Grahamston, Stirling, Gleneagles and Perth.

Glasgow Queen Street to Perth / Dundee: Train services are cancelled. Buses replace trains throughout.

Saturday and Sunday

Glasgow Queen Street to Aberdeen: Trains operate between Dundee and Aberdeen. Buses replace trains between Glasgow Queen Street and Dundee.

Glasgow Queen Street to Inverness: Trains operate between Perth and Inverness. Buses replace trains between Glasgow Queen Street and Perth.

Edinburgh to Inverness (via Stirling): Some services are diverted to run via Fife, with revised times at Edinburgh. Some services will operate between Perth and Inverness only. Connecting bus services operate between Edinburgh and Perth calling Haymarket.

Edinburgh and Perth via Fife: Services operate as normal. Bus connections are available between Stirling and Perth if travelling to Bridge of Allan, Dunblane and Gleneagles.

Rail replacement Bus services operate as follows:

  • Express between Glasgow Queen Street and Perth calling Stirling connecting with services to / from Inverness.

  • Express between Glasgow Queen Street and Dundee, calling Perth connecting with services to / from Aberdeen.

  • All station bus operates between Glasgow Queen Street and Dundee replacing cancelled Dundee train services.

  • Express between Edinburgh and Perth, calling Haymarket where Edinburgh – Inverness train services start / terminate Perth (and cannot divert via Fife).
