Description
Engineering work is taking place between Haymarket and Dundee, closing some lines.
CrossCountry:
Services between Edinburgh and Dundee will not run.
Replacement bus services will operate between Edinburgh and Dundee, calling at Haymarket, Inverkeithing, Kirkcaldy, Markinch, Ladybank, Cupar and Leuchars.
LNER:
As a result, LNER services between London Kings Cross and Edinburgh / Aberdeen will divert between Haymarket and Dundee. Journey times will be extended by up to 20 minutes.
A replacement bus service will operate between Edinburgh, Inverkeithing, Kirkcaldy, Leuchars and Dundee.
ScotRail:
If you are travelling between Edinburgh / Haymarket and Inverkeithing, your ticket will be accepted on Edinburgh Trams to Edinburgh Gateway.
Buses then replace trains between Edinburgh Gateway and Inverkeithing calling at Dalmeny.
A mini-bus operates between North Queensferry and Inverkeithing.
A small amount of late evening buses which do not connect into Edinburgh Trams or other ScotRail services will serve Haymarket and Edinburgh.
Anyone travelling to / from South Gyle should use Edinburgh Gateway for interchange.
Train services operate as follows and may be subject to revised times:
Edinburgh - Aberdeen: Trains are diverted via Stirling and Perth. Alternative train services operate between Inverkeithing and Dundee serving stations in Fife.
Edinburgh - Dundee: Trains operate between Inverkeithing and Dundee via both Kirkcaldy and Dunfermline.
Edinburgh - Perth: Trains operate between Inverkeithing and Perth, but will now serve stations via Dunfermline and Glenrothes with Thornton.
Edinburgh - Leven: Trains operate between Inverkeithing and Leven.
Edinburgh - Glenrothes with Thornton: Revised train services operate between Inverkeithing and Dundee, calling stations via Dunfermline.
