Description

Engineering work is taking place between Kidsgrove and Rugeley Trent Valley, closing some lines.

Avanti West Coast:

An amended timetable will operate all weekend.

Saturday

  • 1 train per hour between London Euston to Manchester Piccadilly, via Stoke on Trent and Macclesfield.

  • 1 train per hour between London Euston to Manchester Piccadilly, via Crewe and Wilmslow.

  • 1 train per hour between London Euston to Liverpool Lime Street, calling additionally at Nuneaton.

Sunday

  • 2 trains per hour between London Euston to Manchester Piccadilly, via Crewe and Wilmslow.

  • 1 train per hour between London Euston to Liverpool Lime Street, calling additionally at Nuneaton.

CrossCountry:

On Sunday, trains will not call at Stoke on Trent and Macclesfield. Journey times to /from Manchester Piccadilly will remain unaffected.

Rail replacement buses will operate between:

  • Stafford and Stoke on Trent / Macclesfield.

  • Stoke on Trent and Macclesfield / Wilmlsow.

London Northwestern Railway:

On Sunday, rail replacement buses will operate between Crewe and Stafford, calling at Alsager, Kidsgrove, Longport, Stoke-on-Trent and Stone.

Northern:

Saturday

Trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Stoke-on-Trent will not run.

Trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Crewe via Manchester Airport will be diverted to terminate / start from Wilmslow.

Trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Alderley Edge will be diverted to terminate / start from Macclesfield.

Buses will run between Macclesfield and Stoke-on-Trent.

Sunday

Trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Stoke-on-Trent will not run.

Buses will run between Stockport and Stoke-on-Trent.
