Description

Engineering work is taking place between Milton Keynes Central and London Euston, closing various lines.

Avanti West Coast:

Saturday:

An amended train service will run to / from London Euston:

• Two trains per hour will run between London Euston and Manchester Piccadilly via Stoke-on-Trent.

• One train per hour between London Euston and Liverpool Lime Street via Alsager.

• One train per hour between London Euston and Glasgow Central via Alsager, Crewe and Bolton.

Capacity constraints prevent more trains running between London Euston and Glasgow Central. A shuttle train service of one train every other hour will run between Preston and Edinburgh.

Trains to / from Holyhead will run between Crewe and Holyhead only.

Sunday:

No trains will run between Milton Keynes Central and London Euston.

• Two trains per hour will run between Milton Keynes Central and Manchester Piccadilly (via Macclesfield).

• One train per hour will run between Milton Keynes Central and Preston via Stafford, Alsager, Crewe and Bolton.

Replacement buses (operated by London Northwestern Railway) will run between Milton Keynes Central and Bedford. You can use East Midlands Railway services between Bedford and London.

Trains to / from Holyhead will run between Crewe and Holyhead only.

Monday:

An amended train service will run to / from London Euston:

• Two trains per hour will run between London Euston and Manchester Piccadilly via Stoke-on-Trent.

• One train per hour will run between London Euston and Glasgow Central via Stafford, Alsager, Crewe and Bolton.

• One train every two hours will run between London Euston and Liverpool Lime Street via Alsager / Earlestown.

Capacity constraints prevent more trains running between London Euston and Glasgow Central. A shuttle train service of one train every other hour will run between Preston and Edinburgh.

Trains to / from Holyhead will run between Crewe and Holyhead only.

London Northwestern Railway:

Sunday:

Train services between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central will not run. You are permitted to travel on London Overground trains between London Euston and Watford Junction.

After 08:45 trains between London Euston and Northampton will run between Milton Keynes Central and Northampton only.

After 12:00 a special hourly shuttle train service will run between London Euston and Watford Junction (after 21:00 trains from London Euston to Watford Junction will call at Bushey to set down only).

Rail replacement buses will operate between:

• Watford Junction and Northampton until 08:45

• Watford Junction and Milton Keynes Central after 08:45 (not calling at Cheddington between 07:00 and 22:00).

• Leighton Buzzard and Cheddington.

• Bedford and Milton Keynes Central for more direct journeys between London and Milton Keynes Central.
