Description
Engineering work is taking place between Newcastle and Edinburgh, closing all lines.
CrossCountry:
Buses will replace trains between Newcastle and Edinburgh.
LNER:
A reduced service will run to / from Scotland with trains diverting to run on an alternative route, extending journey times by up to 2 hours. Some trains will run between London Kings Cross and Newcastle only.
Replacement buses will run between Newcastle and Edinburgh via Morpeth, Alnmouth, Berwick-upon-Tweed and Dunbar.
On Friday evening and Monday morning, some trains will start / terminate at alternative locations.
Lumo:
Buses will replace trains between Newcastle and Edinburgh. Trains will be amended to run between London Kings Cross and Newcastle only.
On Monday morning, the 06:23 Edinburgh to London Kings Cross service will start from Newcastle at 07:57.
Northern:
All day on Saturday and before 08:30 on Sunday, buses will replace trains between Newcastle and Morpeth / Chathill.
ScotRail:
Saturday:
Trains will not run. Replacement buses will run between Edinburgh and Dunbar.
TransPennine Express:
Buses will replace trains between Newcastle and Edinburgh.
