Description
Engineering work is taking place between Bolton / Walkden and Salford Crescent, closing some lines.
Trains between:-
Saturday
Leeds – Manchester Victoria – Wigan Wallgate: Trains will start / terminate at Manchester Victoria.
Blackburn – Manchester Victoria – Wigan / Headbolt Lane: Trains will run between Blackburn and Manchester Victoria, and between Wigan and Headbolt Lane.
Southport – Stalybridge: Trains will not run.
Manchester Oxford Road – Southport: Trains will be diverted via an alternative route between Manchester and Wigan and will not call at stations via Bolton.
Blackpool North – Manchester Airport: Trains will be diverted via Wigan North Western, and will not call at stations via Bolton.
Barrow-in-Furness / Windermere – Manchester Airport: Trains will be diverted to call additionally at Leyland, Buckshaw Parkway, Adlington, Blackrod, Horwich Parkway and Lostock, and will terminate/ start at Bolton.
Rochdale / Manchester Victoria – Clitheroe: Trains will start / terminate at Bolton.
Buses will be provided between:
Wigan Wallgate and Manchester Victoria via Atherton.
Wigan Wallgate and Manchester Victoria via Bolton.
Bolton and Manchester Piccadilly.
Sunday
Blackpool North – Manchester Airport: Trains will be diverted via Wigan North Western, and will not call at stations via Bolton.
Barrow-in-Furness / Windermere – Manchester Airport: Trains will be diverted to call additionally at Leyland, Buckshaw Parkway, Adlington, Blackrod, Horwich Parkway and Lostock, and will terminate / start at Bolton.
Rochdale / Manchester Victoria – Clitheroe: Trains will start / terminate at Bolton.
Buses will be provided between:
Bolton and Manchester Piccadilly.
