Amended evening / morning trains in the Westbury area from Monday 12 to Friday 16 February

Great Western Railway between Bristol Temple Meads and Frome / Portsmouth Harbour

Description

Engineering work is taking place in the Westbury area, closing some lines on Monday to Thursday evenings.

Monday to Wednesday:

The 23:45 Bristol Temple Meads to Frome service will terminate at Bath Spa. A replacement bus will run from Bath Spa to Frome, calling at all stations. The bus calls at Freshford (Old Bakery) and Lower Westwood (The Pastures) in lieu of Avoncliff station.

Tuesday to Friday:

The 05:23 Westbury to Salisbury service will not run. You should travel by later train services.

The 06:35 Salisbury to Worcester Foregate Street service will start from Westbury at 07:05. For Salisbury to Westbury journeys, you should travel by later train services.

Thursday:

The 21:23 Portsmouth Harbour (starting at Southampton Central at 22:22 due to other engineering work) to Bristol Temple Meads service will terminate at Westbury. A replacement bus will run from Westbury to Bristol Temple Meads.

The 23:45 Bristol Temple Meads to Frome service will not run. Two replacement buses will run: One will run from Bristol Temple Meads to Westbury via Keynsham, Oldfield, Bath Spa, Bradford-on-Avon and Trowbridge. One will call at all stations to Frome (this bus calls at Freshford (Old Bakery) and Lower Westwood (The Pastures) in lieu of Avoncliff station).
