Description

Engineering work is taking place between Wigan North Western and Preston, closing all lines.

Avanti West Coast

No trains will run between Wigan North Western and Preston until 17:50 on Sunday. Services from the South will run between London Euston and Wigan North Western only.

If you are travelling to / from Preston and beyond, you should change at Warrington Bank Quay to use replacement bus services between Warrington Bank Quay and Preston. An hourly train service will run alternating routes between Preston and Glasgow Central / Edinburgh.

Services between London Euston and Scotland via Birmingham will only run between London Euston and Birmingham New Street before 17:50.

Northern

Before 17:50:

Buses will replace trains between:

• Buckshaw Parkway and Preston

• Wigan North Western and Preston

After 17:50:

Trains will run to an amended timetable to / from Blackpool North / Barrow-in-Furness / Windermere.

TransPennine Express

Before 17:50, trains will not run between Preston and Manchester. You should use alternative services to complete your journey.
