LNER between London Kings Cross and Glasgow Central

ScotRail between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh (via Carstairs and via Shotts), and also between Glasgow Central and Lanark

Description

Engineering work is taking place between Glasgow Central and Motherwell, closing various lines in the area.

CrossCountry:

On Saturday and Sunday, buses will replace trains between Motherwell and Glasgow Central. On Sunday, buses will additionally run between Edinburgh and Motherwell.

LNER:

No LNER services will run between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh. Customers should use alternative train / bus services.

ScotRail:

Glasgow Central - Edinburgh via Carstairs:

On Saturday, buses will replace trains between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh via Carstairs. No ScotRail services usually run on this route on Sunday.

Glasgow Central - Edinburgh via Shotts:

On Saturday and Sunday, an hourly train service will run between Carfin and Edinburgh only. Replacement buses will run between Glasgow Central and Shotts.

Glasgow Central - Motherwell / Lanark:

An hourly train service will run between Glasgow Central and Lanark, not calling at Cambuslang. A replacement bus service will run between Glasgow Central and Lanark, calling at Cambuslang, Uddingston and Bellshill. An hourly bus service will also run between Glasgow Central and Motherwell.
