Description

Engineering work is taking place at various locations between Newcastle and Edinburgh, closing various lines.

CrossCountry:

Buses will replace trains between Newcastle and Edinburgh.

LNER:

An hourly rail service will run between Newcastle and Scotland via Carlisle. Replacement buses will run between Alnmouth and Edinburgh via Berwick-upon-Tweed and Dunbar.

Northern:

Buses will replace trains between Newcastle and Morpeth / Chathill.

ScotRail:

Buses will replace trains between North Berwick / Dunbar and Edinburgh.

Please note: There is no service to Dunbar on Sundays.

TransPennine Express:

No TransPennine Express services will run between Newcastle and Edinburgh, with services that run between Liverpool Lime Street and Edinburgh being amended to run between Liverpool Lime Street and Newcastle only.
