Great Western Railway between London Paddington / Portsmouth Harbour / Taunton / Bristol Temple Meads and Cardiff Central / Swansea / Carmarthen

Description

Engineering work is taking place between Bristol Parkway and Severn Tunnel Junction, closing all lines.

Buses will replace trains between Bristol Parkway and Newport.

Trains that normally run between Cardiff Central and Portsmouth Harbour will run between Bristol Parkway and Portsmouth. Trains that usually run between Cardiff Central and Taunton will run between Bristol Temple Meads and Taunton.

Trains that usually run between London Paddington and Swansea will be diverted to run via Gloucester (not calling), and will not call at Bristol Parkway. This diversion will extend journey times by up to 45 minutes.

Most trains that usually run to / from Carmarthen will be amended to run to / from Swansea. Some trains will run between London Paddington and Carmarthen. You can use Transport for Wales services between Swansea and Carmarthen.
