Due to the impact of COVID-19 and other sickness affecting staff availability, Merseyrail will be running an amended timetable until further notice.

A 30-minute timetable will run from the start to the end of service on all Merseyrail lines. Due to increased staff availability, some additional services will run on the Southport line from Monday 24 January. Timetable details are available from the Merseyrail website here.

Why has the timetable been changed?

Merseyrail have made these changes so that customers have advanced notice to change their journeys. Cancelling some services in advance also helps reduce the risk of last minute cancellations and delays.

Check before you travel:
If you are travelling on days up to and including Saturday 12 February, you can check your journey using the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner.

If you are travelling on days from Sunday 13 February onwards, please check back closer towards your intended time of travel.
