Anglia Plus One Day Ranger & 3 in 7 Day Rover

The following terms and conditions apply to this type of ticket. Please note that some tickets have restrictions on the days or times you can travel. Please check before you travel.

Description

Standard Class Rail Rover for train travel in East Anglia.

Unlimited travel within Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire zones.

  • The Norfolk zone covers the area bounded by the coast, Thetford, Diss and Lowestoft.

  • The Suffolk zone covers the area bounded by Somerleyton (via Lowestoft), Bury St Edmunds, Stowmarket and Ipswich.

  • The Cambridgeshire zone covers the area bounded by Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge, Ely and Thetford.

Available as either a One Day Ranger (AP1) or a 3 Day in 7 Flexi Rover (AP3).

Also valid for travel on some bus services, as follows:

  • On any First Eastern Counties bus in Norfolk, except Park & Ride services.

  • Between Ipswich or Derby Road stations and Ipswich Town Centre on any direct services by First Eastern Counties or Ipswich Buses, or by Ipswich Buses to Ipswich Hospital (Heath Road) or Ransomes Industrial Estate.

  • Between Great Yarmouth station and the Town Centre or Beach on any direct service operated by Anglian Coaches.

  • On the "Breeze" town services in Bury St Edmunds operated by Stephensons.

Anglia Plus tickets are also available as a Season Ticket, standard or first class.

Pre-booking Requirement

Rover tickets may not be issued more than 3 days in advance of their validity (5 days for telesales and internet bookings).

No, but you can reserve a seat on many longer distance services and reservations are recommended on busy services. Please note that some train services are designated as reservation only, regardless of ticket held.

34% Railcard discount.

Flat fares for accompanied children on Family & Friends Railcards do not apply to Day Ranger tickets but Family tickets are available for one or two adults and up to 4 children all travelling together.

Accompanied children pay a flat fare even when the adult is not a Railcard holder.

General Conditions

Both the Anglia Plus One Day Ranger and Flexi Rover are valid on the following train services:

  • Greater Anglia services north of Ipswich and Cambridge inclusive, on the following routes:-

    • Cambridge - Ely - Thetford - Norwich

    • Cambridge/Ely - Bury St Edmunds - Stowmarket - Ipswich

    • Ipswich - Stowmarket - Diss - Norwich

    • Ipswich - Felixstowe

    • Ipswich - Saxmundham - Lowestoft (East Suffolk Line)

    • Norwich - Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth (Wherry Lines)

    • Norwich - Cromer - Sheringham (Bittern Line)

  • East Midlands Trains services between Ely and Norwich

  • Great Northern services between Cambridge and Ely.

Anglia Plus tickets are not valid on the following routes or services:

  • Any Cross Country Trains service

  • Any service on the line from Ely to King's Lynn

  • Any service on the line from Ely to Peterborough

  • Any service to and from Sudbury (Suffolk).

Day Of Travel

One Day Ranger valid on date shown on ticket.

3 Day in 7 Flexi Rover valid any three days within the seven shown on the ticket.

Time Of Travel

Both the One Day Ranger and the Flexi Rover are valid after 08.45 on Mondays to Fridays and at any time at weekends and on Bank Holidays.  You can also use the following services on weekdays that depart before 08.45:

  • Saxmundham 08:17 (and intermediate stations to Ipswich)

  • Norwich 08:21 (Sheringham service)

  • Sheringham 08:22 (and intermediate stations to Norwich)

  • Ely 08:32 (Ipswich service)

  • Thurston 08:30 (Ipswich service)

  • Elmswell 08:36 (Ipswich service)

  • Norwich 08.36 (Great Yarmouth service)

  • Brundall Gardens 08.43 (Great Yarmouth service)

  • Norwich 08.40 (Cambridge service)

  • Cambridge 08.44 (Ipswich service)

  • Ipswich 08.44 (Norwich service)

Refunds

Refunds are only given on Rail Rover tickets returned before the start date shown on them and are subject to an administration charge.
