National Rail Conditions of Travel
When you purchase a ticket to travel on the railway network you enter into an agreement with any train operating company you travel with to complete your journey. That agreement gives you the right to make the journey between the stations and or Zones shown on the ticket you’ve bought.
The National Rail Conditions of Travel are also part of that agreement, and set out the minimum level of service you are entitled to expect when you travel with a valid ticket. Individual train companies may offer above this minimum, but not below it. This is called a Passenger’s Charter and can be found on each train company’s website.
