19. Railway Byelaws
19.1 If you are present on the railway, you must comply with the Railway Byelaws.

The Railway Byelaws apply to anyone on railway property, regardless of whether they have a Ticket or not. A copy of the Railway Byelaws can be found at www.gov.uk/government/publications/railway-byelaws or you can ask at a station Ticket office for details. Contravening the Railway Byelaws results in a Strict Liability offence. This means that you can be prosecuted without the need to prove intent to breach them. |
