Blackpool Pleasure Beach is an amusement park that has many awards and accolades, being one of the most visited attractions in the UK and one of the top 20 most visited in the world. With an impressive 10 roller coasters in the park, it may be a thrillseekers paradise, but there is also plenty of fun to be had for the family.
The Blackpool Tower takes you 158 metres high and gives you views of the Lancashire coast. Step onto the Skywalk, a clear glass floor, for a more daring and beautiful view beneath your feet. The Ballroom in the tower is where you can watch a show or participate in a tea dance alongside the Wurlitzer organ.
Visiting the seaside is never complete without fish and chips, and Blackpool is one of the best. There is also a great selection of restaurants and cuisines to choose from.
If you’re travelling between September and November, don’t miss Blackpool Illuminations – an annual festival that has been running for over 100 years. It uses all forms of lighting, from light bulbs and lasers to searchlights and floodlights, to create stunning and magical displays for quite literally miles along the seafront.
