Cheltenham was the birthplace of Gustav Holst, composer of The Planets. The Holst Birthplace Museum is set up in the very house he was born in. It’s a 19th-century Victorian time capsule where visitors can wander through the building and see the still-working Victorian kitchen and various rooms of the house, including Holst’s music room where his life history is displayed with the piano he composed The Planets on.
