Thameslink between Bedford and Brighton and

between Luton / St Albans Abbey and Sutton

Description

Engineering work is taking place in the Bedford area, closing some lines. ​​​​​​​

East Midlands Railway:

Due to major engineering works, East Midlands Railway will operate a reduced timetable.

All EMR intercity trains will start or terminate at Bedford instead of London St Pancras International.

Some trains may also be making additional calls at Market Harborough, Kettering and Wellingborough.

EMR Connect trains will operate between Bedford / Kettering and Corby.

Trains may depart from stations earlier than usual and arrive at their destinations later than usual.

Buses will run between Bedford and Hitchin.

Thameslink:

On Saturday:

A revised train service will run between:

West Hampstead Thameslink and Three Bridges / Brighton. Thameslink overnight services between West Hampstead Thameslink and Three Bridges / Brighton will divert non-stop via London Bridge.

Kentish Town and Herne Hill. Thameslink trains will not run to / from Sutton via Mitcham Junction or Wimbledon - if you're travelling to stations between Herne Hill and Sutton via Mitcham Junction or Wimbledon, your tickets will be accepted on TfL buses, London Underground and London Tramlink services.

Replacement buses will run between:

  • Bedford and Luton.

  • Luton and West Hampstead Thameslink.

  • Luton Airport Parkway and Hitchin via Luton (for transfer with alternative trains to / from London).

  • Harpenden and Potters Bar via St Albans (for transfer with alternative trains to / from London).


On Sunday:

A revised train service will run between:

West Hampstead Thameslink and London St Pancras International (early Sunday morning only).

West Hampstead Thameslink and Three Bridges.

Kentish Town and Herne Hill. Thameslink trains will not run to / from Sutton via Mitcham Junction or Wimbledon - if you're travelling to stations between Herne Hill and Sutton via Mitcham Junction or Wimbledon, your tickets will be accepted on TfL buses, London Underground and London Tramlink services.

London Bridge and Gravesend. Your tickets will be accepted on Southeastern trains between Gravesend and Rainham, and on Southeastern Rail Replacement Buses between Rochester and Rainham.

Replacement buses will run between:

  • Bedford and Luton.

  • Luton and West Hampstead Thameslink.

  • Luton Airport Parkway and Hitchin via Luton (for transfer with alternative trains to / from London).

  • Harpenden and Potters Bar via St Albans (for transfer with alternative trains to / from London).
