Description

Engineering work is taking place between Smethwick Rolfe Street and Birmingham New Street, closing some lines until 12:35.

London Northwestern Railway / West Midlands Railway:

Until 12:35 train services between Liverpool South Parkway / Crewe and Birmingham New Street will be diverted between Wolverhampton and Birmingham New Street, and will not call at Smethwick Galton Bridge.

Trains from Birmingham New Street to Liverpool Lime Street will depart slightly earlier from Birmingham New Street.

The 09:23 Crewe to Birmingham New Street service will depart slightly earlier from Wolverhampton.

Train services between Shrewsbury and Birmingham New Street will run between Shrewsbury and Wolverhampton only.

Trains between Wolverhampton and Walsall / Rugeley Trent Valley will run between Birmingham New Street and Walsall / Rugeley Trent Valley only or will be diverted and will not call at intermediate stations between Wolverhampton and Birmingham New Street.

Local stopping train services between Birmingham New Street and Wolverhampton will not run.

Rail replacement buses will operate between Wolverhampton and Birmingham New Street - calling at all intermediate stations.

Transport for Wales:

No trains will run between Wolverhampton and Birmingham International. You can use your ticket at no extra cost on alternative train / bus services between Wolverhampton and Birmingham New Street.
