Description

Engineering work is taking place overnight between Carnforth and Barrow-in-Furness, closing some lines.

Monday to Thursday:

The 20:44 Barrow-in-Furness to Lancaster service will not run. A bus will be provided from Barrow-in-Furness to Carnforth, calling at Ulverston and Lancaster. For travel to / from intermediate stations, you should travel on the next available service, which departs Barrow-in-Furness at 21:45.

The 21:59 Manchester Airport to Barrow-in-Furness service will terminate at Lancaster. A bus will be provided from Lancaster to Carnforth (via Barrow-in-Furness), calling at all stations except Silverdale, and Arnside. A minibus will be provided between Lancaster and Carnforth to serve these stations.

The 22:09 Lancaster to Barrow-in-Furness train service will not run. A bus will be provided between Lancaster and Carnforth calling at Ulverston, Dalton, Roose and Barrow-in-Furness. A mini-bus service will be provided from Lancaster to Carnforth calling at Silverdale, Arnside and Grange-over-Sands.

Tuesday to Friday:

The 04:58 Barrow-in-Furness to Manchester Airport service will start from Lancaster. A bus will be provided from Barrow-in-Furness to Carnforth (departing 04:30) calling at Dalton, Ulverston and Grange-over-Sands, connecting at Carnforth with onward services to Manchester. A minibus service will be provided from Grange-over-Sands to Lancaster (departing Grange-over-Sands 04:25), calling at Arnside and Carnforth.
