Description

Engineering work is taking place between Birmingham New Street and Coleshill Parkway / Tamworth, closing various lines.

Trains between Birmingham New Street and Leicester / Stansted Airport services will run between Coleshill Parkway and Leicester / Stansted Airport on Saturday and between Coleshill Parkway and Nuneaton on Sunday.

Trains that usually run between Nottingham and Cardiff Central will run between Nottingham and Coleshill Parkway (after 12:15 on Saturday) / between Nottingham and Derby (Sunday), and between Birmingham New Street and Cardiff Central (Saturday and Sunday).

Trains to / from North East England / Scotland will divert by an alternative route, not calling at Tamworth. Journey times will be extended by one hour.

Replacement road transport will operate between:

Saturday:

  • Birmingham New Street and Coleshill Parkway and Water Orton

Sunday:

  • Birmingham New Street and Tamworth

  • Tamworth and Wilnecote

  • Tamworth and Burton-on-Trent

  • Birmingham New Street and Coleshill Parkway / Nuneaton
