Buses replace trains between Bristol Temple Meads and Bath Spa on Sunday 22 October

Great Western Railway between London Paddington / Gloucester / Westbury / Salisbury and Bristol Temple Meads; and also between Cardiff Central and Portsmouth Harbour

Description

Engineering work is taking place between Bristol Temple Meads and Bath Spa, closing all lines. ​​​​​​​

Trains between London Paddington and Bristol Temple Meads (and beyond):

• Most of these trains will divert between Swindon and Bristol Temple Meads (via Bristol Parkway, not calling). They will not call at Chippenham and Bath Spa.

• 5 trains per hour will run between London Paddington and Reading / Didcot Parkway / Swindon.

• 4 trains per hour will run between Swindon and Didcot Parkway / Reading / London Paddington.

• For most of the day shuttle train services will operate between Swindon, Chippenham and Bath Spa. Rail connections are available at Swindon.

Trains between Cardiff Central and Portsmouth Harbour:

• These trains will start / terminate at Bath Spa (a few of these trains will run as separate services between Cardiff Central and Bristol Temple Meads)

Trains between Bristol Temple Meads and Westbury / Salisbury:

• Most of these trains will start / terminate at Bath Spa

Trains between Gloucester (and beyond) and Bristol Temple Meads / Westbury / Weymouth:

• These trains will not operate between Bristol Temple Meads and Westbury. Rail connections available between Bath Spa and Westbury.

Rail replacement buses will run between:

• Bristol Temple Meads and Bath Spa
