Between Glasgow Central and Motherwell / Lanark and also between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh via Carstairs / Shotts

Description

Track work is taking place in the Cambuslang area and between Carstairs and Kirknewton, closing some lines.

Saturday and Monday:

Glasgow Central – Motherwell / Lanark:

Trains will run between Motherwell and Lanark only.

Passengers can connect with trains at Motherwell for journeys via Hamilton or Whifflet / Carmyle.

Glasgow Central – Edinburgh via Shotts:

An train service (one train every 2 hours) will operate between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh via Shotts, calling at all stations.

Trains between Glasgow Central and Uddingston are diverted via Cathcart / Kirkhill.

A separate train service operates between Edinburgh and West Calder, calling at Livingston South.

Glasgow Central – Edinburgh via Carstairs:

Trains between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh via Carstairs will not run.

Buses will run between Motherwell and West Calder.

Sunday:

Glasgow Central – Motherwell / Lanark:

Trains will run between Motherwell and Lanark only. You can connect at Motherwell for onward train journeys via Hamilton or Whifflet / Carmyle.

Glasgow Central – Edinburgh via Shotts:

Trains will run between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh via Shotts, calling at all stations.

Trains between Glasgow Central and Uddingston will be diverted to run via Cathcart / Kirkhill.

A separate train service will run between Edinburgh and West Calder, calling at Livingston South.
