Description

Engineering work is taking place between Preston / Carlisle and Gretna Green, closing some lines.

Avanti West Coast:

All day on Sunday, buses will replace trains between Carlisle and Glasgow Central.

Until approximately 12:00, buses will replace trains between Preston and Carlisle.

Ticket acceptance:

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on TransPennine Express replacement bus services between Carlisle and Edinburgh.

ScotRail:

Rail replacement buses will run between Carlisle and Dumfries.

The last service from Carlisle to Glasgow Central will depart Carlisle at 18:38 and will be run by a rail replacement bus service to Dumfries, departing Carlisle earlier at 18:33. You are advised to change to the connecting 19:50 train service from Dumfries to Glasgow Central.

TransPennine Express

All day on Sunday, buses will replace trains between Carlisle and Edinburgh, calling at Lockerbie.

Trains between Liverpool Lime Street and Glasgow Central / Edinburgh will not run.

Additionally, the 09:16 Glasgow Central to Manchester Airport service will start from Preston at 11:57.
