Description

Engineering work is taking place at various locations between Preston and Glasgow Central, closing some lines.

Avanti West Coast:

Saturday

Trains that usually run between London Euston and Glasgow Central (via Nuneaton) will run between London Euston and Preston / Carlisle only.

Trains that usually run between London Euston and Blackpool North / Glasgow Central / Edinburgh (via Birmingham New Street) will run between London Euston and Preston only.

Sunday

All Avanti West Coast services will start / terminate at Preston. No trains will run between Preston and Carlisle / Glasgow Central / Edinburgh.

Replacement buses:

Replacement bus services will run between Preston and Carlisle, and between Carlisle and Glasgow Central.

ScotRail:

Sunday only:

Buses replace trains between Carlisle and Dumfries.

TransPennine Express:

Saturday and Sunday:

No TransPennine Express services will run between Lancaster and Glasgow Central / Edinburgh. Trains will operate between Manchester Airport and Lancaster only.

Replacement buses will run between Lancaster / Carlisle and Edinburgh.
