Description

Engineering work is taking place between Preston / Carlisle and Gretna Green, closing some lines.

Avanti West Coast

All day on Sunday, buses will replace trains between Carlisle and Glasgow Central calling at Lockerbie and Motherwell.

Until approximately 12:00, buses will replace trains between Preston and Carlisle calling at Lancaster, Oxenholme Lake District and Penrith North Lakes, and between Carlisle and Glasgow Central calling at Lockerbie and Motherwell.

ScotRail

It is not yet known how this service will be affected. Check back at a later date for more information.

TransPennine Express

All day on Sunday, buses will replace trains between Carlisle and Edinburgh calling at Lockerbie.

Trains between Liverpool Lime Street and Glasgow Central / Edinburgh will not run.

Additionally, the 09:16 Glasgow Central to Manchester Airport service will start from Preston at 11:57.

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on Avanti West Coast replacement bus services between Carlisle and Glasgow Central.
