Description

Engineering work is taking place between Darlington and Newcastle, closing all lines.

From 22:15 until the end of service, some services between London Kings Cross and Newcastle will run via a diversionary route between Northallerton and Newcastle, no longer calling at Darlington and Durham, with journey times extended by approximately 1 hour.

Other services will terminate and then restart either side of the blockade and services across the route will be amended to accommodate the engineering work.

Buses will replace trains between Leeds / York and Newcastle.
