Description
Engineering work is taking place between Darlington and Newcastle, closing all lines.
CrossCountry:
No trains will run between Leeds / York and Newcastle.
Replacement buses will run between Leeds and Newcastle via Darlington and Durham. You should travel on other services between York and Darlington.
LNER:
A limited and reduced service of one train per hour will run between London Kings Cross and Newcastle, running on a diverted route and with journey times extended by up to 60 minutes.
Trains will run between London Kings Cross and York, and between Newcastle and Edinburgh / Aberdeen.
Replacement buses will run between York and Newcastle, calling at Darlington and Durham.
Lumo:
An amended and reduced train service will run between Newcastle and Edinburgh only.
Northern:
Trains will run between Saltburn / Whitby / Middlesbrough and Eaglescliffe, and between Newcastle and Carlisle.
Buses will be provided between:
Eaglescliffe and Bishop Auckland
Darlington and Newcastle via Chester-le-Street
TransPennine Express:
There will be no trains between York and Newcastle.
Trains towards Liverpool Lime Street will be diverted to start and terminate at York.
A rail replacement bus service will be in operation between York and Newcastle.
