Description

Emergency engineering work is taking place between Wakefield Kirkgate and Barnsley, closing all lines.

The following amended service will be in operation:

Leeds to Nottingham:

Trains between Leeds and Nottingham via Wakefield Kirkgate will not run. You should travel on the Leeds to Sheffield via Wakefield Westgate service, which is extended to serve Nottingham.

Please note these trains are likely to depart Leeds 20 minutes earlier than the normally advertised service.

If you are travelling from Wakefield towards Sheffield, you will need to use Wakefield Westgate.

Train times between Sheffield and Nottingham are unchanged.

Leeds to Sheffield via Castleford:

Trains will run to a reduced frequency between:

  • Leeds, Castleford and Wakefield Kirkgate.

  • Barnsley, Meadowhall and Sheffield.

Buses will operate between:

  • Wakefield Westgate and Barnsley, calling at Wakefield Kirkgate and Darton.

Leeds to Lincoln via Wakefield Kirkgate:

Trains will only run between Sheffield and Lincoln.
