Description

Engineering work is taking place in the Rutherglen area, closing some lines.

Avanti West Coast:

A reduced service will operate, with trains between Glasgow Central and Motherwell being diverted to run via Mount Florida.

CrossCountry:

No trains will call at Glasgow Central and Motherwell.

Rail replacement buses will operate between Motherwell and Edinburgh.

You can use ScotRail services between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh at no extra cost.

ScotRail:

Balloch – Larkhall (via Hamilton)

Milngavie – Motherwell (via Hamilton)

Trains will operate between Balloch / Milngavie and Rutherglen via Glasgow Central (Low Level).

An hourly replacement bus will run between Dalmarnock and Newton.

You can change at at Newton for trains to / from Larkhall / Motherwell.

Glasgow Central (High Level) – Newton

Trains are amended to run between Newton and Motherwell / Larkhall via Hamilton.

Balloch – Motherwell (via Whifflet)

Trains will run between Balloch and Rutherglen via Glasgow Central Low Level.

An hourly replacement bus will run between Dalmarnock and Motherwell via Carmyle / Whifflet.

Glasgow Central (High Level) – Motherwell / Lanark

Trains operate between Motherwell and Lanark only.

You can change at Motherwell for trains to / from Hamilton or buses running via Carmyle.

Glasgow Central (High Level)– Edinburgh via Shotts

A train service will operate between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh via Shotts, calling at all stations.

Trains between Glasgow Central and Uddingston will be diverted to run via the Cathcart Circle / Kirkhill lines.

TransPennine Express:

No trains will run between Glasgow Central and Carlisle. You should use Avanti West Coast services instead between Glasgow Central and Carlisle.

Some early morning replacement buses will run between Lockerbie and Carlisle in order to maintain connections with train services.
