Description
Engineering work is taking place between Horwich Parkway and Preston, closing all lines overnight from Monday evening until Friday morning.
As a result, the following trains will be diverted to run via Wigan North Western, and will not call at stations via Bolton and Horwich Parkway:
Monday to Thursday:
The 22:48 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service
The 23:17 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service
The 23:22 Blackpool North to Manchester Airport service
The 23:46 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service
Tuesday to Friday:
The 04:48 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service
If you planned to travel on any of the above services. you should instead use the replacement buses that will run between Manchester Airport and Preston, or between Manchester Piccadilly and Blackpool North via Bolton and Horwich Parkway. The exception to this is if you were planning to travel on the 04:48 Manchester Airport to Blackpool service. In this case, you should travel on the next train service instead as this will be quicker. This can be done at no extra cost.
