Description

Engineering work is taking place between Stalybridge and Mirfield and also between Huddersfield and Lockwood/Penistone, closing all lines.

Northern:

Trains between Sheffield and Huddersfield: Trains will start / terminate at Lockwood. A replacement bus service will operate between Lockwood and Huddersfield.

Trains between Huddersfield and Leeds via Dewsbury will be diverted to call additionally at Brighouse and Halifax, and terminate at Bradford Interchange, and will not call at Deighton and Huddersfield. A replacement bus service will be provided between Halifax and Huddersfield, operated by TransPennine Express.

Sunday only:

Trains between Huddersfield and Leeds via Bradford Interchange will start / terminate at Halifax. Buses will be provided between Halifax and Huddersfield, operated by TransPennine Express.

TransPennine Express:

There will be no services through Huddersfield station.

TransPennine Express will operate as follows:

Saturday

  • Manchester Victoria to Redcar Central

  • Liverpool Lime Street to Newcastle

  • Leeds to Hull

  • York to Scarborough

  • Wakefield Kirkgate to York

  • Manchester Piccadilly to Stalybridge

Sunday

  • Manchester Airport to Redcar Central

  • Liverpool Lime Street to Newcastle

  • Leeds to Hull

  • York to Scarborough

  • Wakefield Kirkgate to York

  • Manchester Piccadilly to Stalybridge

The following rail replacement bus services will be in operation (Saturday and Sunday)

  • Huddersfield to Brighouse and Halifax

  • Huddersfield to Wakefield Kirkgate

  • Huddersfield to Stalybridge (fast and local stopping service)

  • Huddersfield to Manchester Airport
