Description

Engineering work is taking place between Wakefield Westgate and Wakefield Kirkgate / Normanton, closing various lines before 11:40.

Before 11:40:

Grand Central:

The 08:04 Bradford Interchange to London Kings Cross service will be retimed to start at 08:10, and will be diverted to call at Wakefield Westgate, not calling at Low Moor, Halifax, Brighouse, Mirfield or Wakefield Kirkgate.

Replacement buses will run between Low Moor and Wakefield Westgate via Halifax, Brighouse and Mirfield to connect with the train.

Northern:

Trains that usually run between Leeds and Knottingley via Wakefield Westgate will be diverted to run via Castleford, and will not call at Wakefield Westgate, Wakefield Kirkgate, Streethouse, Featherstone or Pontefract Tanshelf.

Buses will run between:

  • Leeds and Pontefract Monkhill

  • Leeds and Barnsley

TransPennine Express:

Trains that usually run between Manchester Piccadilly and York via Wakefield Kirkgate will run between Manchester Piccadilly and Huddersfield.

Replacement buses will run between Huddersfield and York via Wakefield Kirkgate.
