Engineering work is taking place between London Kings Cross and Peterborough, closing all lines.

No trains will run between London Kings Cross and Peterborough all weekend.

Grand Central:

No Grand Central services will run all weekend.

On Monday, the 07:48 London Kings Cross to Sunderland service will not run.

Great Northern and Thameslink:

No trains will run between Moorgate / London St Pancras International / London Kings Cross and Letchworth Garden City / Peterborough all weekend.

A shuttle train service will run between Letchworth Garden City and Cambridge / Ely / Kings Lynn.

Rail replacement buses will run between:

• Bedford and Peterborough via St Neots / Huntingdon

• Hitchin and Peterborough, calling at all stations

• Hitchin and Letchworth Garden City

• Alexandra Palace and Stevenage via Hertford North, calling at all stations

• St Albans City and Stevenage, calling at Hatfield, Welwyn Garden City, Welwyn North and Knebworth

• Alexandra Palace and Welwyn Garden City, calling at New Southgate, Oakleigh Park, New Barnet, Cockfosters (London Underground), Potters Bar, Brookmans Park, Welham Green and Hatfield

• Cockfosters and Potters Bar via Hadley Wood

Ticket acceptance:

You can use your tickets at no extra cost on Thameslink services between London St Pancras International and Bedford, and on Greater Anglia services between London Liverpool Street and Hertford East / Cambridge North.

Paper rail tickets will be accepted on London Overground services between London Liverpool Street and Enfield Town, and on London Underground services:

• Piccadilly line between Kings Cross St Pancras and Cockfosters

• Northern line between Moorgate and High Barnet

• Victoria line between Kings Cross St Pancras and Tottenham Hale

• Circle / Metropolitan / Hammersmith / City lines between King's Cross St. Pancras and Liverpool Street

And also on London Buses:

• Routes 107 / 307 / 384 between New Barnet and High Barnet

• Route 21 between Moorgate and Drayton Park

• Routes 29 / N29 / 91 / N91 / 141 / 144 / W3 between London Kings Cross / Finsbury Park and Alexandra Palace

Hull Trains:

Hull Trains will be running an amended timetable with trains running between Hull and London St Pancras International.

2 trains will run in each direction on Saturday and 3 trains will run in each direction on Sunday. Trains will not call at Beverley, Cottingham, Doncaster, Retford or Grantham.

LNER:

Trains to / from London Kings Cross will now start / terminate at Peterborough. A rail replacement coach service will run between Peterborough and Bedford.

A limited service will run between Newcastle and Bedford.

Monday:

The following LNER services will be amended:

• The 05:20 Doncaster to Edinburgh will now start at Newcastle

• The 05:40 London Kings Cross to Leeds will now start at Doncaster

• The 05:48 London Kings Cross to Aberdeen will now start at Leeds

• The 06:30 London Kings Cross to Edinburgh will now start at Peterborough

• The 06:33 London Kings Cross to Newcastle will not run

• The 06:40 London Kings Cross to Leeds iwill not run

• The 06:45 London Kings Cross to Lincoln will now depart at 06:40 and not call at Stevenage

• The 08:33 Harrogate to London Kings Cross will now start from Leeds

• The 09:47 London Kings Cross to York will depart at 09:45

• The 10:33 Harrogate to London Kings Cross will now start from Leeds

Trains that usually run between London Kings Cross and Edinburgh / Glasgow Queen Street will run a reduced service between Newcastle and Edinburgh / Glasgow Queen Street only.

Background information:

The East Coast Digital Programme (ECDP) is a landmark scheme that will introduce in-cab digital signalling on the southern part of the East Coast Main Line, between London Kings Cross and Grantham. The work on the East Coast Main Line on 28 and 29 November is taking place as part of the Government-funded transformational East Coast Digital Programme (ECDP), that will see state-of-the-art digital signalling introduced, providing continuous, real-time information to the driver’s cab. This is aimed at improving reliability for passengers, while also reducing emissions. The digital technology is already being used on Great Northern passenger services between Finsbury Park and Moorgate in London.
