Description
Major engineering work on a new HS2 station at Old Oak Common in west London is taking place between London Paddington and Ealing Broadway, closing all lines.
No trains can run to or from the main London Paddington station from Friday 27 December to Sunday 29 December inclusive.
The following amendments will apply:
Elizabeth line
No trains will run to / from London Paddington all weekend. Trains between Stratford and London Liverpool Street will not run.
Friday:
Trains between Shenfield and Heathrow Terminal 5 will instead run between Shenfield and Paddington Elizabeth Line. A reduced service of 8 trains per hour will run between Shenfield / Abbey Wood and Paddington Elizabeth Line.
Trains between Heathrow Airport stations and Reading will start from / terminate at Ealing Broadway. A reduced service of 2 trains per hour will run between Ealing Broadway and Heathrow Terminal 5 / Reading.
You should make use of London Underground and London Bus services between Ealing Broadway and London Paddington to complete your journey.
Saturday and Sunday:
Trains between Heathrow Airport stations and Reading will start from / terminate at Ealing Broadway. A reduced service of 2 trains per hour will run between Ealing Broadway and Heathrow Terminal 5 / Reading. Train services will call at all stations.
You should make use of London Underground and London Bus services between Ealing Broadway and London Paddington to complete your journey.
Great Western Railway
No trains will run to / from London Paddington all weekend. Trains will be diverted to run to / from London Euston or Reading, on a reduced service.
Trains between London Paddington and Cheltenham Spa will run between Swindon and Cheltenham Spa only. Trains between London Paddington and Reading / Swindon / Bristol Parkway will start from / terminate at Ealing Broadway, calling additionally at Hayes & Harlington. London Underground connections are available between Ealing Broadway and Central London.
Most trains which are diverted to run to / from London Euston will not call at Reading, with some exceptions.
An hourly service will run between Ealing Broadway and Didcot Parkway / Reading, calling additionally at Hayes & Harlington.
Heathrow Express
No trains will run to / from London Paddington all weekend.
A shuttle service will run between Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 and Heathrow Terminal 4 / Heathrow Terminal 5 every 30 minutes from approximately 05:10 until 23:20.
