Description

Engineering work is taking place between London Paddington and Burnham, closing some lines on Saturday and Sunday, and between London Paddington and Ealing Broadway, closing all lines early on Sunday morning.

Elizabeth line:

Saturday:

Trains are unaffected by engineering work.

Sunday:

The 00:07 Heathrow Terminal 5 to London Paddington service will terminate at Ealing Broadway.

From 02:00 to 07:40:

Services will not run between London Paddington and Ealing Broadway.

After 07:40:

Trains to / from Maidenhead / Reading will run to an amended timetable.

Ticket acceptance:

For all Elizabeth line alterations, if you have a National Rail paper ticket or e-ticket, you can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following operators’ services:

• London Buses between central London and Ealing Broadway

• London Underground between central London and Ealing Broadway

If you are using contactless payment / Oyster card, you can also use the above alternative travel options but you will be required to pay the normal tap in / tap out fares for your journey.

Long distance:

Trains to / from London Paddington will be retimed to run up to 10 minutes earlier or later than usual. Many of these trains will have amended calling patterns and will either not stop or call additionally at stations between London Paddington and Reading.

Local trains:

A reduced service will run between London Paddington and Reading / Didcot Parkway.

Some trains between Reading and Basingstoke will be retimed by a few minutes to help provide connections with amended train services.

Sunday:

Early morning:

• The 06:20 Reading to London Paddington service will depart at 06:39, and will operate later than normal throughout

• The 06:38 London Paddington to Reading will start from Ealing Broadway at 06:49. You can use your ticket on London Underground services from Central London to Ealing Broadway at no extra cost

Long distance:

Trains to / from London Paddington will be retimed to run up to 10 minutes earlier or later than usual. Many of these trains will have amended calling patterns and will either not stop or call additionally at stations between London Paddington and Reading.

Local trains:
