Description

Engineering work is taking place between Horwich Parkway and Preston, closing all lines overnight from Monday evening until Friday morning.

Monday to Thursday:

• The 22:48 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service will be diverted to run via Wigan North Western, and will not call at Lostock, Horwich Parkway, Chorley or Buckshaw Parkway. A bus will be provided from Bolton to Blackpool North for these stations

• The 23:17 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service will not run. A bus will run from Manchester Piccadilly to Blackpool North, departing Manchester Piccadilly at 23:45. Other Northern train services are available between Manchester Airport and Manchester Piccadilly

• The 23:22 Blackpool North to Manchester Airport service will be diverted via (but not call at) Wigan North Western, and will not call at stations via Horwich Parkway and Bolton. A bus will run from Preston to Manchester Airport for the stations via Horwich Parkway and Bolton

• The 23:46 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service will be diverted via (but not call at) Wigan North Western, and will not call at stations via Bolton and Horwich Parkway. A bus will run from Manchester Piccadilly to Blackpool North for these stations

Tuesday to Friday:

• The 04:48 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service will depart at 05:06, and run later than normally advertised throughout
