Description
Engineering work is taking place between Manchester Victoria / Manchester Piccadilly and Bolton, as well as at Salford Crescent station, closing all lines.

Northern:
Blackpool North – Manchester Airport: Trains will run to an amended timetable, and will be diverted by an alternative route, not calling at stations via Chorley / Bolton. An hourly train service will be provided between Blackpool North / Preston and Bolton.
Leeds – Wigan Wallgate: Trains will be diverted by an alternative route between Manchester Victoria and Wigan Wallgate, and will be extended to run to / from Southport.
Wigan Wallgate – Leeds: Trains will be amended to start / terminate at Southport, and will be diverted by an alternative route between Wigan Wallgate and Manchester Victoria.
Manchester Victoria – Clitheroe: Trains will run between Bolton and Clitheroe only.
Stalybridge – Wigan / Southport / Headbolt Lane: Shuttle train services will run between:
Stalybridge and Manchester Victoria
Wigan Wallgate and Headbolt Lane
Bolton and Southport
Buses will be provided between:
Manchester Piccadilly and Bolton
Manchester Victoria and Bolton (calling at all intermediate stations)
Manchester and Wigan Wallgate via Atherton
TransPennine Express:
Trains that usually run via Bolton will be diverted, and will not run via or call at Bolton.
For Bolton, you should use other train services.
